2012年9月20-23日，由韩国美国研究协会（ASAK）与首尔国立大学主办的“美国在东亚”（The United States in East Asia）国际学术研讨会在韩国首尔国立大学举行。参加会议的学者来自亚洲、欧洲、美国20多个国家，共100余人。我中心梅仁毅教授、付美榕教授、李莉 文教授、李今朝博士以及2009级硕士生田岚书参加了此次研讨会。梅教授应邀在大会招待会上致辞，并宣读了美国研究专题论文“30 Years of American Studies in China: An Overview and a Case Study”。其余四人在分组讨论中宣读了论文，题目分别为“Decoding China’s Technological Brain Drain to the United States: A Cultural Perspective”（付美榕），“U.S. Trade Policy toward China after September 11 ”（李莉文），“Becoming Transnational, Becoming National: Identity Construction of Chinese Americans in China”（李今朝）），“Glocalization: The Cultural Construction, Representation and Concession between “Americanness” and “Chineseness” in NBA China”（田岚书）。这是我中心师生第一次参加韩国美国研究协会举办的年会，他/她们通过参与研讨与交流，加强了与亚洲及其他国家美国研究学者的联系。
